Basic Needs Collective

We are hosting our first BNC Ambassador trainings! Come learn how to get involved with the collective and make a difference on campus. Our BNC Ambassadors will engage in education and outreach on campus to promote the collective. Examples include conducting brief in-class announcements, tabling at events, spreading the word through student groups, and posting flyers.

The Basic Needs Collective (BNC) provides a central location for resources related to finances, food, housing, health insurance, financial management, legal services, mental health, and more. Located in the basement of the A. Ray Olpin Student Union, the BNC, offers virtual and in-person resource support.






This facility provides an Intensive Skilled nursing level of care to persons of all ages who have suffered catastrophic injuries or illnesses. Their pediatric unit is in need of kind, caring and nurturing volunteers that are willing to interact and provide activities for children who are medically fragile.

Applegate Hospice

Applegate Hospice is in need of volunteers to be a friend to hospice patients near them. We ask for 1 hour/week for 6 months. You will visit the patient’s home for companionship or other help, like walking a dog or painting fingernails.
